Crisp and acidic with grapefruit and tropical notes

Have had prior vintages of this and enjoyed, but our first bottle of the 2019 was a mixed bag. Nice acidity, but the grapefruit notes were so overwhelming it was hard to distinguish much else. Hoping this is just an unusual bottle. Will see if remaining bottles are any different.

I think it is from drinking so many New Zealand Sauvignon Blancs lately this hot summer, but this was definitely a nice change of pace (ie. No cat pee or passion fruit or bell pepper). It had nice citrus notes and a crisp mineral finish. Its relative simplicity made this great with Korean fried chicken, kimchi, and side dishes which had so many crazy spicy, sweet, or salty flavors. Definitely a food wine

A good domestic Sauvignon Blanc for its price. There is grapefruit and stone on the palate. The acidity is good. It went well with white fish. I would get it again at $40.

Pale yellow color. Aromas of grapefruit, peach, faint orange. Light body, flavor of grapefruit with gravel and field grass in back. Good acidity to cut through food and still taste the flavors.

This was a really nice example of Sauv Blanc IMO. Slightly fruity and a nice long finish. Paired great with Shakshucka!

Wonderful springtime sipper - bright spicy nose of cut grass, citrus, grapefruit, spicy white grape. Clean and balanced palate with good acidity but a creaminess that softens it some.

4th of 4 bottles. Each has been better than the previous. Woulda been a 92 without the need to blow off a little VA...which took about 15 min. Initially a bit spritzy. Nice fresh nose..with a bit of spritz. Medium+bodied. Lots of acidity...though I wouldn’t call it juicy. Fresh, earthy, minerally...plenty of fruit but balanced and in a good drinking window. Long finish...lingered. Very enjoyable. Given the style, very light on its feet after initial spritziness.

Took some time to open up, and much better fridge chilled. A powerful sauv blanc - very flavorful. Tropical fruit, mineral, stone fruit. Hint of grass.

A really nicely balanced SB with notes of green apple, lemon, herbs, grass with good acidity and 30 second finish. Perfect wine for a salad topped with grilled walleye.

A full bodied sauv blanc- combination of French elegance and minerality combined with Napa fruit. Luscious, plush, full bodied, tropical flavors. Hints of typical grass/herbal notes. A somewhat atypical sauv blanc, but it works. Me - 92, Wife - 93

less acid than its texture and body demand, and with viscous tropical fruit and oak, maybe a touch too ripe to really call it balanced, but it is its own style....
