Ca' Di Frara Io Rosso Provincia di Pavia IGT

A blend of Barbera, Pinot Nero, and Merlot. Nose of strawberry, maraschino, and blackberry, with an undercurrent of dark spice, oak, and liquorice. The palate is bursting with fruity, juicy flavour: like the nose it shows an interesting combination of strawberry, maraschino, and blackberry, with hints of apricot and grapefruit zest. Smooth, with zesty, cleansing acidity on the finish. An unusual wine, but a very good one.
