Mazzocco Cabernet Sauvignon Sonoma County

Wine tasting is a funny thing. I’m finding similar qualities as some reviewers and the exact opposite of others. This wine is a bold, full bodied and dark. That said, it’s not a typical cali cab. It’s flavor profile is much more in line with a non reserve Chianti on my pallet. It gets better with air so I’d recommend an hour or two uncorked before enjoying, even a full day

Better after decanting

Very tight, even after decanting it still improved after being opened for over an hour. Once open it is a nice dark fruit flavor with a nice finish. Likely to improve further with a little age.
