Domaine de Vaccelli Corse Chioso Novo

Also from a bottle opened two nights ago. I can’t recall if I had a preference between these on Thursday, but today I like the energy of the Aja Donica. This is still quite good, but displays an edgy note on the finish that detracts from the overall balance of the wine.

Another look at this wine, and a question arises - is this the best Vermentino on the planet? Focused on the palate with good acidity and persistence through the finish, this is pure pleasure to consume. The kind of wine that I wish was more available so wine folks could get a chance to savor and experience this on their own 👍

Gorgeous! To be honest, my introduction to Vaccelli’s single vineyard Vermentino may be the most exciting thing I’ve experienced with respect to white wines in the last couple of years. I just love this stuff. Saline notes on the nose, nice palate coverage with good acidity and a nice finish. A wow wine.
