Syncline Grüner Veltliner

Really delicious, easy-drinking wine that has enough complexity and freshness to keep coming back for more.

Served about 50 degrees. Nose: quite aromatic, some grass and minerals. On the palate, it has a medium-plus, lush, body throughout the taste. A bit of a glycerin texture, medium-minus acidity, semi-dry, minerals. Pleasing finish. Better with food. Pretty well made wine and I may buy again.

The key is the wife liked it...and it is rare that she likes a white. So looking forward to trying the '15!

Citrus and grassiness with medium+ acidity and a good finish. Nice

Tastes like gruner. Nice enough. Personal note - this is the 2nd time the Cellars guy has poured this at a wine lunch. He really likes Syncline. I'm not sure anyone else does.

Not as good as the previous bottle, but still good, apple, ripe, green tree fruit, citrus, lean.

Flint, lemon and hay. It says two of those descriptors on the back of the bottle. Bracing acidity and nice elegance. Lacks some fruit concentration and depth on the palate, but it still sets a certain standard for Washington.

A small pour at a wine lunch. For gruner this is awfully nice. There is more fruit than usual, but not at all out of line. Good acidity, limestone, rocks. It's actually a bit funky on the nose, which adds interest.

Pale gold color. Drank 1 glass over 20 minutes. I was quite impressed by this Gruner. It was more appealing and round than some. Aromatic on the nose, citrus, apple blossoms. The palate has lime, lemon, apple, melon and mouthwatering acidity; there's a sweet essence to the fruit and a nice but more understated minerality with good length. Recommended. 89+ to 90pts.

Crisp with a nice PH. Paired with Asian stir fry.

Perfect summer porch wine aromas of river rock, tall grass, and a light spritz of lime. Nice acidity on contact with high-toned lime, transitioning into orchard blossoms and perhaps some orchard fruits, before closing with some tangy, lower-toned stewed lemon. Good complexity. Longish finish which helps belie its status as a summer sipper. Acidity and fruit linger, penetrating the front of my mouth in a pleasing way.
