In a good spot. Still evident tannins but they have softened enough now. Blood orange, stem spice, pomegranate and cassis. Both structured and pretty.

[one hour decant to separate light sediment] medium garnet colour. moderately expressive in nose and palate with spiced, macerated red cherry, pomegranate, blood orange and strawberry with a sprinkling of pine resin and a dusting of forest floor. medium body, bright acidity, moderate fine tannins and concentration that seems to grow as the fruit layers unfurl. accents are beautifully integrated and the finish long and complex with a note of fresh raspberry. fully developed and in a good plateau… enjoy …

Rich, delicious dark strawberry fruit with blood orange flavors, excellent structure, ample finish, much better when last tasted, tannins have softened and fruit emerged

Decanted for 25 minutes to open and separate from some sediment. A medium minus purple in the glass. A combination of darker red (more) and lighter red (less) fruits on the medium bodied palate along with some earth, spice, minerality and fresh acidity. Very similar, but maybe a touch better (no tannins) than our bottle some eight months ago.

This is drinking very well. The fruit is still there and it’s in a great spot. Drink up.

Decanted for 15 minutes but better after 30 minutes which gave the wine time to open and integrate. Some brighter red fruits (red cherry, raspberry) but mostly darker fruits (black cherry, blackberry) on the medium bodied palate along with some spice and a bit of earthiness. The acidity was crisp but balancing and there was just a touch of tannin on the finish. This wine should hold for several years.

Murky, prune juice color, Forest floor or, perhaps, mushroom aromas. Tart red cherry or cranberry on the tongue. A lean mouthfeel. Frankly this wine seems quite stark I just don't get much depth. Mineral sensations under the rear palate gives a slight bitter taste.

Tasted over 3 hrs -semi-translucent med red mild bricking -moderately expressive red fruit rhubarb black raspberry cassis -med+ acidity, med- weight tart dusty black raspberry cassis cherry pit bitter note sappy saline, wispy tannins almost completely resolved -this is quite nice with good complexity lively acidity and fully mature tannins though no overtly mature flavors - just a lovely delicate dusty fruit remnant, nice terroir comparison to last night's '14 Trout Gulch

The wine pours a fairly light purple with some slight bricking around the rim. Doesn’t look old, but you can tells it has a couple years on it. Pop and pour aromas are slightly muted and funky, but with 15-20 minutes in the glass it starts to open up. Brambly fruit and black cherries, cherry liqueur, earthy aromas like mushroom and dried leaves, as well as some purple flowers. I was a little worried at first but this opens up …

Aromas of dry bracken, candied cherry, red plums, and lillies. Winding progression of round savory fruit on the palate with a crackling layer of tannins and a rich aromatic acid presence at the back. Delicious salmon cakes, seaweed slaw, and roasted Brussel sprouts.

This has a lean tart character to it with subtle fruit, earth, spice, herbs and a floral note. Tannins are still noticeable but in check. Strong acidity. Bit of a medicinal quality to it that im not quite into...but maybe this will dissipate.

Floral, herbs, berries and light vegetal taste. A not-too-ripe type of wine with a hint of California cola, vanilla and cloves on the finish. Excellent. Drinking well now.

Mint, spice, red fruits on the attack. Medium weight. I think this wine can age for a while but very nice now. This wine definitely is not a ripe or juicy style Pinot sometimes experienced in RRV or Santa Barbara. This is a style which I find to be different than most west coast pinots but equally enjoyable.

Red berries, wild strawberries, pomegranate, and some herb notes on the nose. Medium-high acidity with refined, yet structural tannins and flavors of tart berries, red cherries, and cedar on the palate. Nice finish. Quite lovely wine, still very young and tart. The nose reminds me of a young 1er Cru Burgundy. Maybe lacking a bit of ripeness. Curious, how this will age. 93+

Tree sap, strawberries, cloves, pie crust, a hint of coffee on the nose. Sweet winding fruit on the palate, deep on the midpalate with a salty tannic presence at the back on a crisp acid margin, lingering acid finish with a hint of walnut. Complex, dynamic, perfet with Joyce Chen scallion oil shrimp.

This is a great wine. Mature fruit and spice on the nose. None of the too young alcohol nose. This is nice, and good to see from a CA wine maker. Full, but balanced fruit, spice, cream and minerals on the palate. A long finish. Soft tannins now, but more years to go.

This needs more time or a lot of air. Pretty funky and sour to start, was afraid I was going to have to dump it. With a little air my initial glass got better, so decanted the bottle and let it rest for a couple of hours. Pretty decent after that w/ red fruits, a little spice, but never wowed me... good, but not great. I'd give it a few years and see if all comes together.

Very pretty wine. Cherry fruit and spice. Soft now but with tannins still there. Starts out creamy but gets firmer with air. Still quite young but drinkable now. I would wait another 3 years on this one as it will get better.

Very pretty cherry pinot nose. Quite smooth and creamy on the palate with a subtle cherry flavor and a salty mineral note. Finishes soft and rather floral. I like some of the components here but as a package it’s somewhat light and lacking persistence and length.

Lovely structure and expression. A tad sweet on the fruit considering it's an Arnot-Roberts, came together after some air. Needs time, hold on to your bottles for at least another year.

an excellent expression of the more elegant style pinot. Nice balance of spice, fruit and a nice hint of oak. A great wine. California meets French Burgundy in this one.
