Hall Cabernet Sauvignon Stags Leap District

Excellent, smooth drinking through

Trip to Napa visiting opposite ends of the winemaking spectrum : Red fruit, with a bit of woodsy cedar on the nose. A lot of fruit on the palate, with big structure and acid. Interesting spiced/pepper on the finish. I found this to be a bit of an over-exaggeration of what your typical "big Napa cab" could be, so not my preference in this tasting but was not offensive in anyway.

2021 so a little fruity now, but should age well. I liked a lot

Reddish purple. Surprisingly bright berries. Dry oak, warm earth, charcoal. Solid tannins adding plenty of structure, but the grip is not overly tight. (I wonder if this will revert to a dumb stage at some point in the next couple years, or just continue to evolve harmoniously?)
