Wow, this wine has lurked in the cellar for nearly two and a half years. A pretty good buy I think. Dark inky color with an inviting smoky dark fruit aroma. Quite dense on the palate, some mocha, chocolate notes, nice grip. Yes a good one.

Popped and poured and served with chili. Color: Dark ruby, nearly opaque. Aromas: Leather, Black fruit (blackberry), Black Olives, Vanilla, violets, some tar, and bandaid. Tastes: Leather, black fruits, black olive, vanilla, toast, chocolate. Overall: Big body, some heat on the finish. Decent everyday quaffer and cellar defender and good QPR. A bit of complexity and depth for a $12 wine. My last of three bottles.

Bought these on one of those incessant Sams mailings. Dark berry red color, powerful aroma of scorched earth, blackberries and leather. Very attractive on the palate, earth, spice, leather, dark currant fruits. Another winning Spaniard compares very favourably to Juan Gil, Borsao etc.

Totally enjoyable as a simple table wine. Solid fruit but perhaps a wee bit alcoholic. Metal and blood mix with cherry on the palate.
