10/7/2017 SPC Class WK5: France // Champagne, Bordeaux & Burgundy : Medium brick color, moderate aroma intensity, notes of chocolate, dark cherry and raisin. Dry, medium bodied, lively acidity, and weak but astringent tannin. Moderate flavor intensity, flavors pretty much matched the aroma, very pleasant ripe red fruit finish. Long finish. An easy-drinking and very nice food wine. Had with BBQ pork - intensified the spice of the sauce very nicely.
