I'm biased. I fell in love with wine when I first had it, and have purchased three more recent vintages. This bottle was the last of the 2018s and I was wondering how it held up after 3.5 years. While the wine was not quite as fresh and refreshing as younger vintages, this bottle held up quite well. The fruit flavors are still present, and the wine continues to be an easy drinking wine. It was gone in no time. …

I love sharing this wine because it doesn't taste like other white wines. It paired perfectly with Scallops. Perfect acidity and sweetness (for a dry white). Pear and grapefruit on the nose and palate. I think this white is best when not chilled too much.

A nose of citrus and spices, medium straw in color. A light to medium bodied white blend, with pineapple, pear, spice and acidity on long finish, was very good. www.winelx.com

Zach's Celebration (Joel and Julie's House) : On the nose the wine was giving off sweet floral and citrus notes. On the palate it presented with loads of tropical fruit ranging from green apple, pineapple, lemon and banana. This was followed by sweet notes of tropical flowers and then wonderful notes of stone fruit, limestone and chalky minerality. IMO the minerality really makes this wine. It's a perfect balance between the sweet tropical flavors and then the strong minerality that …

Fascinating wine. Hazy yellow color. Tropical fruits and floral hints on the nose. The unctuous texture that has been so prominent has decreased significantly but the exuberant tropical fruit persists. Bracing acidity that is mouth-watering from beginning until days after. Great wine.

Hazy straw yellow. Nose of pears n tropical fruits. White Rhone meets Paso. Just what I would suspect from Matt T's playbook of wine making. Some sweetness here but good acidity. Went well with the seafood salad part of our dinner. Glad I have another bottle, yummy!

Still drinking quite well. Less floral and more tropical fruit aromas at this stage; that unique unctuous texture persists. Sweet fruit without overt RS and bracing acidity makes for an utterly satisfying drink that works well as an apperitif as well as complementing a salmon dish.

Blind CA Cult Cab Tasting (Snohomish, WA) : Tasted blind. The nose had aromas of sweet citrus fruit as well as some minerals and floral notes. The palate had flavors of peaches, limes and tropical fruits. The mouthfeel of this wine was fantastic. Very unctuous, and that oily, slipperiness that always makes me think of Rousanne. But the tropical fruit notes made me think of Viognier. Several of us were thinking this was a blend, and I said Viorous at …

Valentine's Day dinner with Lyn. A red wine lover's white. Unctuous with a cling-to-the-sides-of-the-glass viscosity. The Viognier dominates (62%) with a fresh peachy and melony aroma and taste, with notes of marzipan from the Roussanne (18%). Unlike many, I normally like my white wines served warmer, slightly cooler than cellar temp. But this one should be chilled a bit more before serving, perhaps removed from cellar and the stashed in the fridge for 20 minutes beforehand. As the wine warms …

For my palate, this was an insanely good white wine. Unctuous and concentrated, with huge complexity. Orange peel, other citrus, floral, and mineral notes. This wine has an amazing number of layers to it and is just plain delicious. Definitely a red wine lover's white wine.

This wine delivers again and again. Fourth bottle in past 3 months, nose remains with floral and tropical notes. Palate has a unique unctuous texture braced by firm acidity that gives the wine a great balance.

Even better than my last bottle. Tropical fruits, honeysuckle, caramel and an unctuous texture that is fascinating. Great structure and balance with the acidity as a perfect complement to the food. Remains one of my favorite whites.

A Detour To Paso Robles: Booker & Linne Calodo (Paso Robles, CA) : Very attractive and expressive aromas pour out of the glass with notes of lemon oil, minerals, and citrus blossoms. The palate is just as radiant with dense notes of citrus, melon, and pineapple. The texture is glossy as expected being a white Rhone blend, but there is good acidity to match the round fruit impression. Really nice and definitely shows more of a deft hand in contrast …

After a 3 year hiatus one of my favorite white wines is back. Popped into the LC tasting room back in July and there it was, an unexpected treat. Bought 6 on the spot. Pale, hazy yellow with great floral nose and some tropical fruits. Unctuous texture and medium body, picks up mineral elements on the palate. Some vague hints of residual sugar but I think it's just the mind-blowing fruit that makes it taste as such. Nice underlying acidity …
