Left open for a day before drinking. Very dry and nutty, some hints of cinnamon. Long finnish, very concentrated. Sherry is the shit!

Showed great already after an hour of decanting (91p), but still grew after a few weeks under cork. Most of a half btl. It's a Palo Cortado, but nose screams: Oloroso. Rich and with the dried fruits en masse, even 'huge' by any standard. Complex, intense, enticing and very appealing. Even after sampling some of its contents, the fabulous nose stood its ground. Enjoyed the aromas for well over 15 minutes. Palate: Has the kind of concentration that you always …

Dry as hell, but still with a zing of... what is it? Cinnamon? Red peppers, lots of salt and stone, long and tempting.

2005 St Emilion, Alsace and Stickies (M.E. home, Umeå, Sweden) : Bonus wine, for the shrimp soup that it married indescribably well. Dead, dry bones in the dessert, despair in a bottle. Burnt hair. Hell on Earth... Apocalyptic poetry. It married MJ's shrimp soup like nothing else. For sure: the spring's Sherry tasting can't be held without this fabulous soup. This wine started out poorly for the first week or so, so please remember to aerate this bottle well before …

Not as the dead dry bones I was expecting. Medium intensity, integrated acids and a long, typical finish of nutty and burned aromas. Really very fine for my taste. Quite complex and for the price: a steal! Has evolved well from time under cork. (If I understood the opening time correctly, it has been several weeks.) At ME.

The color is lightbrown, on the nose the first is moscovado sugar, the taste is of dried fruits, orangezest, quite long taste that stays for awile. The alcohol heat is there and also some salt. The wine is dry to offdry. Want to try this again!

Really lovely sherry. Much lighter than anticipated, more like an amontillado. Quite complex, dry but not ott. A half bottle disappeared in no time between 2 of us
