Dutton-Goldfield Pinot Noir Dutton Ranch Freestone Hill Vineyard

The nose, mid and finish are all amazingly bright. Definitely a Sonoma pinot - lots of flavor, layers, well-balanced, etc. Not past its prime at all - drink up!

Surprisingly dark in color with a cloudy/unfiltered appearance. Dark floral aroma. Big mouthful of fruit with a medium finish initially but gained some nice length and juiciness over 1+ hour, so give it some time and you will be well-rewarded.

Drank over three hours. Nice floral nose. Still has great fruit and very elegant. Best right out of the bottle.

Spice and bright red fruits, a hint of cola. The finish lingers with a bracing acidity.

dark red, purple, in the color. raspberry, herbal, on the nose. cherry, raspberry, black pepper, earth, lemon tea, blueberry, sweet, on the palate. medium acid, low tannins, on the finish.

six nations tasting - (pyrmont wharf, sydney) : light red berry, slightly green notes. Possibly picked a little young?

Much better than the bottle last month (which must have been flawed). Comparing to the DG 09, the 10 is darker in appearance, aroma and taste. More blackberry vs. raspberry. Also more brambly and some Eucalyptus on the nose which carries over a bit to the palate. Maybe a little more acidic, which translates to a little more lively. Maybe the sweetest, fruitiest Pinot I've ever tasted, especially the second day. Almost like a Rhone blend. A very nice drink, …

This came in last at our informal blind tasting. The nose and taste are both a bit harsh. Something seems a bit off. Will wait to rate til trying another bottle. This was drinkable, not corked. But not nearly as good as their 09.

Thick cherry jam on the nose and lots of it. Black cherry, pomegranate, and baking spice which echo on the finish with a touch of white pepper. Very fleshy. A fruit BOMB which is almost Zin-like (a proper 100% Zin). Aims too high.
