Ready to drink. Didn’t need much air time.

Cassis, steamed mushroom, well water that contains iron (not dank or unpleasant - like a cool fresh drink from the pump). Maybe it could be plumper on the palate, but I have to give it credit at 20+ years in a uncommon 500 ml bottle. With time more woodsy and fine leathery tones emerge. If you have any, it certainly ready. Expect easy comfort, not fireworks.

A nice wine with solid fruit and soft tannins. There's some smell of coffee but it is fairly light. Otherwise there are no real tertiary notes to be found. Doesn't seem worth aging it.

Returned the corked bottle, trading it for the last one available. This bottle was stunning. The wine's rusticity and superb balance are things of beauty! Everything aged great vintage Bordeaux should be and ready to go in all respects. 90-91.

Overall, very good. Somewhat watery in the mouth. Unlikely to improve with age.

Initially austere and way too dry. This does get better with air. It was also better on days 2 and 3, although it got slightly funky on day 3. It is more of a food wine and not terribly interesting by itself. A great buy for $12.

Gets better and better with air. Leather, tobacco, black currant and pomegranate. Creamy mouthfeel with medium acidity and mild tannin. Well-structured for near term consumption. Some chocolate and earth on the finish. Savory. Yum.

Blind Tasting of Kermit Lynch Imports @ East Beach Wine (East Beach Wine, Santa Barbara) : From KL blind tasting @ EBW. Grass/bell pepper, dark fruit, earthy flavor, full body, medium acidity. Guess: Bordeaux, Cab Franc. Actual: Bordeaux, Cab Franc. This one was the most obvious red in the tasting. It had to be CF, and nothing else could have been Bdx. Bought it.

Anita: Nice lite ruby-hint brick; beaut. nose of shrooms, dry earth, lte cherry and old plum; a hint of spice, like soy/hoisan sauce; maybe cigar box, but not that defined or pedigreed--but still good a’s, good bouquet and balance for this little bordeaux! Lite and soft t’s, dry, w/hint of swt frt, delicate; fully int’d t’s, perfect now, on it’s way down, though. Not a minute too soon.
