If you like burnt cobbler, your gonna love this wine. Hot and over-extracted. Tons of spice on the nose. As we say in Detroit, "Girl, you a hot mess"

I really enjoy all the Bucklin Wines - save the Cabernet. This particular bottle featured the rich dark fruit and pepper from the other bottles I have had.

Still don't see the romance with this effort. Too hot and fake for me. Overly extracted and disjointed to boot. Heat is also evident. Pretty nose, but beyond that I find little appealing.

My new favorite Zin. Great depth of flavor and not too jammy.

Conflicted by this wine. Big robust, peppery zin, filled with black fruits. On the other hand, the oak influence here is disturbing. The fruit seems substantial enough to stand alone.

Great Zinfandel. An old vine field blend from one of California's greatest vineyards. The blend, while dominated by Zinfandel, as a little bit of everything in it. Will does great work with this beloved vineyard.

15.6% alcohol. Medium dark ruby red. Expressive red fruit and spice aromas. Black cherry, raspberry and sage on the palate with a dollop of black pepper. No noticeable heat, rich, lively and very well balanced. Planted in the 1880s, Old Hill Ranch is one of my favorite vineyards. Tasting this 19th Century mixed-black field blend (Zinfandel, Grenache, Alicante, Petite, Mourved, Syrah, Carignane, Tempranillo, Tannat, Grand Noir ... is like tasting history. Will Bucklin tends this treasure with loving care and …
