Similar notes as last time. A bit over the hill now, but still lots of that Zinfandel wonderfulness!

In a great place. Berries, spices, Zinfandel goodness.

No bricking, but a definite aged aroma, in a good way. Good red fruit, spices, fully integrated tannins, nutmeg powder, and a medium plus finish. Don't believe the "drink by" date on this one.

Back in '17 I thought I had only one; found more and they are doing just fine. No hurry at this time.

A fine bottle. No bricking or even sediment. It's not vibrantly fruity, but more a nicely stewed plum. A little Zinfandel 'spice'.

Good over two nights, as always. Starting to lose its primary fruit and move into more secondary notes. Probably a touch better on night 1 than 2.

Spice and some pepper on the palate, bit on the acidic side, while still being full bodied. Berry flavors in the background, finishes with moderate yet balanced tannins, gives that mouthful without coming up short. Had to let it breath to get the depth out of it.

Delicious - and the most Turley-esque of my Wellington bottles so far. Interesting. Deep fruit aromas and flavours but with some interesting spices to round it out.

deep garnet hue; subtle cedar notes on a black fruit background in the nose; nice luscious blackberry, black raspberry and black cherry flavors very nicely integrated with acid backbone. Secondary flavors include crushed strawberry, cassis and hints of cinnamon. Gaining subtlety in its middle age.

Juicy, and singing all the right notes. This one is in its prime.

Nearly black with ruby highlights. Old cedar chest, nutmeg, and crushed strawberry nose. Full bodied, baked cherry pie, toast, dried cranberries, fully integrated tannins, pepper, and a long spicy finish. What a treat.

Tasty - fruity, a bit of earth, some Zin-spice, and a nice finish.

Over two days i didn't notice a whole lot of change -- certainly not as much as other tasting notes indicated. PnP was dry but fruity. Very fruity and bold which would have been nice in and of itself. On the second day it seemed to calm down a bit. Less bold, but a little more alcohol came through. Neither day was better or worse for me, just a really good tasting bottle.

All around enjoyable... nice with meat but versatile enough to let the red fruit notes sing with veggies too.

Big and burly on day 1, but with more complexity appearing than even 6 months ago. Day 2 it seems to need some air to smooth out.

Still a little sharp for my taste, but more enjoyable than I remembered earlier bottles being. Perhaps coming into its own now.

Maybe still a little young, or 2013 just not as jammy as older vintages.

Initially very fruity, almost overwhelmingly jammy. But as with Peter's wines, this came into more balance with a bit of air as the earth and spices came out a bit. Even just 25 minutes later this is already coming to a much nicer state for my tastes. With that little bit of breathing this is what a young Zin can be - dense, fruity, medium bodied, a bit earthy and leathery.
