Adelsheim, Calkins Lane Pinot Noir, Willamette Valley

Deep dark and earthy. Bit of berry and cherry and then finishes with leather and leaves. Great wine.

This was fresher than a bottle last year. Nice fine acidity on the attack. Underbrush and forest notes mixed with rather plush ripe fruit. Holds together nicely on the finish. Very enjoyable now.

granted a little late tasting this one decanted and full airation before drinking. big cherry, tart front. High sulfite content brought the score down for us. Hints of cocoa, tobacco to the nose.good legs, though rather shallow.

This needed a couple hours to really settle down and pull together. Aromatic nose with a little seared meat, dried fruit, and forest notes. Palate is surprisingly fruity and concentrated, but with a more mature character than expected. Surprising showing for this producer as I was expecting a lighter more acidic style and a little more energy. It did have a nice mature spice character on the palate which carried it. Dark berry single bouquet note. Thankfully no further sign of a spritz. Very smooth with black berry and tobacco tones

Had a fizzy spritz taste that I have seen on other 2007 wines. Disappointing

Red fruit dominates. Typical Oregon Pinot nose. Mellowed considerably after one hour opened. Very smooth with little bite to it. Almost cherry juice. Overall a very pleasant experience. More concentrated and more depth than other no designated vineyard adelsheims. Well done. Look forward to my last bottle.

Nice nose of red fruit, some cherry cola with earthy undertones. The similar flavors are fairly delicate and the finish is abit short. Overall, quite nice. Could possibly be mistaken for a Bourgogne or perhaps a village level burgundy.

Nice. Med bodied with red fruit, cherry cola, sassafras, earthy undertones and white pepper on the finish. Alittle shy on the finish but otherwise quite nice.

A big fan of Adelsheim Pinots, but felt this one was a little light. Not the full bodied Pinot you would expect from a single vineyard bottling. Will wait on the other bottles.
