A more than pleasant surprise. Medium dark color, in some light magenta and in some light brick redish. Beautiful nose of boysenberry jam and cassis. Medium to full body, shy of full, like an Haut-Medic which is passing for a classified growth: exciting texture of taut silk. Good acidic backbone but no off-putting astringency. Tannins resolved. Drinking like a champ right now; too bad my last bottle. Classic aged claret. I don't give 95 too easily. With wines like this …
