Vincent Pinot Noir Silvershot Vineyard

No detailed notes. These bottles were similar last one I drank. I recall them being nice but not exceptional, with good balance and fruit.

Deep garnet red color. On the nose this was nice but rather generic, and perhaps too ripe for my preference. Notes of cola, roasted fruit, and raisins. On the palate this seemed rather thin and somewhat clumsy, with some fruit and tannin but none of the harmony I had hoped for. Is this over the hill? Is this still developing? I haven't a clue. Dark ruby color, with legs. Bouquet: currant, stone, hints of a very deep (desiccated?) berry--like the essence/core of the fruit. Pretty decent. Palate: Unfortunately, the wine missteps here. Somewhat fleshy, vegetal, austere, a little rocky/stoney. I would not call it earthy. The fruit ship has sailed. Maybe it shut down, who knows. As a prior taster notes, perhaps it is in a state of transition. Definitely hold.

Showing well, inviting but has some tannin/austerity on the finish. Red fruits with some blues intertwined, with a bit of spice and some form tannin on the finish. While the attack is lush it does firm up in the mouth. Should age well—probably caught this a bit in between. Well balanced.

Cherries, cranberry, autumn leaves and turned earth. Not the depth of Zenith, Armstrong or Temperance but another very nice Vincent.

Classic with much room to improve

No notes taken, but this was a very nice Pinot, though perhaps just a tad short on acidity.

Popped one hour before tasting. Nose shows lots red cherries with some sassafras and earthy notes. Palate is medium bodied and fruit has moderate intensity. The texture is silky and satisfying in the mouth. There is more red and black cherries with brown spices on the palate. Finishes with a little grip and medium length.
