Pale and youthful lemon straw colour. The nose a subtle mix of lanolin, gooseberry and lime. Rather more savoury than that sounds. It comes alive on the palate, with nettles and oatmeal adding more complexity, with lovely refreshing but not OTT acidity, and a surprising length to the finish. Really rather impressed by this, and I could see it continuing to age well.

Medium lemongreen color. Youthful nose with a medium aroma intensity. Aromas of cold steel, banana leaf, grass, fresh herbs, red and yellow apples. Kind of awkward nose actually. Dry on the palate with a medium+ acidity and a medium- body. It has a medium- flavor intensity and showing pretty much only tart green apples. The finish is medium. This one is lacking just about everything that a Savennières should have. Shows no personality or terroir.

Gave this 86P blind, so will stick with that. But to be honest this should probably score lower as it shows no Savennieres characteristics at all. Nose is very green leaning towards Sauvignon blanc. Newly cut grass, elder flower, canned asparagus, banana leaves, liquorice and a little minerality. Medium+ acidity, dry with some tartness. Medium body, medium(-) intensity and a medium(-) finish. Lacking midpalate and feels slightly watery.
