Angelus 2021 tasting : Less than 30ha 10 years ago, but now 130ha. 2021: an unexpected vintage. (Each vintage has a name) Only using 1st generation of grapes (not grapes from after frost) 15-20k bottles only, from young vines of Carillon. Fruit forward, red fruit juicy. Med bodied, chalky, dusty tannins that’s quite subtle making it easy to drink.

Flowers and red pit fruits with touches of licorice and coffee bean are found on the nose. The wine is medium-bodied, soft, silky, fresh, light, and leaves you with a red plum and strawberry filled finish that is perfect for early-drinking pleasure. Drink from 2023-2029. 89-91

J'ai bien apprécié ce second vin du Chateau Angelus. Le #3 est un vin tout en nuance avec des arômes de tabac et cerise. Difficile à trouver au Canada, mais facile à apprécier :)
