Beau Vigne Cabernet Sauvignon Heritage

Proper cabernet sauvignon from the north coast. Rubi red with tawny rim. Great nose with roasted bellpepper, hebal notes, tobacco. High acidity, medium body, black fruit, makes an easy drinker. Mid finish of black fruit and spices. Decent, lacks some concentration and tannins.

Popped and poured. Plush and plummy, with nicely ripe plummy fruit and hints of mocha and herbs. Velvety texture with medium tannins and flavors of dark cabernet fruit and plum. Excellent.

Young, but potential....

Fruit forward. No aging potential. Enjoyed.

This seems like a good basic Napa Valley wine. I like full-bodied darker reds that are heavy on the fruity notes and this fits the bill. Only $12 at our local store so in my mind this wine is a good deal. Cork has no markings but that is not a deal-breaker on a good, value-priced wine.

Anyone who wants to drink soft, silky cherry/current juice, this is for you. It is delicious. Truth be known, if I paid more than $35 for this, I would be less enthusiastic this point. It leans to the simple, but does have smoked meats, olive and licorice faintly adding to this. Really a pleasure to drink.

Popped and poured. Purplish crimson color. Aromas of plum, blueberry, black currants, mocha, licorice and lavender. Flavors of plum, dark chocolate, licorice and dark fruit. Full-bodied with good structure and balance. Excellent value. 90-91 pts.

Domino opened a bottle during her golf league meeting and I met her a couple of hours later after my round so this had been opened about 2.5 hrs before I tasted it. Dark youthful color with notes of plum, black fruit, chocolate, cedar and spice. Full-bodied with a nice plush texture and nice weight across the palate. Black fruit and chocolate flavors with a nice finish. Very nice.

Classic napa cabernet fruit / currant / flowery mixture.

APPEARANCE: Ruby in color, with medium intensity. NOSE: Medium(-) intensity. This is a simple wine, with black fruit (blackberry) and dried/cooked fruit (bakedstewedfruits) aromas. PALATE: Dry, with medium acidity and low tannin. Medium alcohol. Body is medium(-), with medium(-) flavor intensity. Detected black fruit (blackberry) flavors, with a short finish. Decanted and set aside a glass for about 45 minutes. Aromas of mulberry, black cherry, coffee, plum and vanilla. There’s a nice herbaceous, slightly green- in a good way- undertone that I’m enjoying. Medium-bodied, with soft, plush tannins and flavors of red plum, tobacco and cherry. Very good for the <$15 price tag.
