Domaine des Pierres Seches Syrah

Not a complex bottle bottle of Syrah, but a very honest bottle of N Rhone Syrah. Plenty of fruit, vivid acidity and a tail end of tannins. Very nice with duck leg in mole Poblano.

I believe this is the bottling that was, at least in '12, the Cuvee Georges de la Tour. If so, I enjoyed that labeling and presentation much better than this more bland packaging, designated "Sylvain" though not mentioned in this listing. And the wine? this is really good right now - pnp - inky - delicious

Fun wine... beautiful sweet and savory fruit. Contemplative garrigue and pepper. No air, popped and poured but the wine was still generous. No ridiculous tannin, juicy fruit.
