Tasting sample poured from 75cl at Manousakis Winery. Attractive oak and citrus blossom on the nose; medium-bodied, oily-texured entry; orange oil and not quite convincing honey mid-palate sweetness, a hint of tannin; clean, shortish finish. By far the best wine tasted at Manousakis today, but overpriced at 25 EUR/75cl compared to mid-range Rhône offerings, comparable French Roussane Vin de Pays (Ch. Baronne Les Vals?) or indeed good Montsant/Priorat. 15 EUR might be a more accurate price point in European comparison. …

Doftar honung, torkad persika, mineral. Lite fat. Mycket kraftig, koncentrerad smak. Ananas. Lång eftersmak. Inte så mycket syra men ändå väl balanserad. Mums!

Gul i färgen. Doft av smörkola, grillad citron, persika och lite blommighet. Dag två även våt ull. Balanserad syra, viss fetma. Lite störande alkohol men ett välgjort vin. Kul att testa om än inte min stil.
