Astrale e Terra Syrah

That was the last of it. A pretty big Syrah, fruit up front even after 9 years, a little bacon/smoked meat, and some oak. For what I paid, wish I had bought more. Neat looking bottle, too.

Just an okay bottle with dying fruit

Dark ruby red color. Pop and pour on first night, there was a nose of rubbing alcohol and a very uninteresting flavor - very disappointing. Second night, the nose was more pronounced with light red fruits (strawberry and light cherry) and earth. Rich silky mouthful with fruity and earthy flavors. Long finish.

Wow. Excellent wine. One of the highlights of the weekend. Smooth, rich and lush. Great dark fruits,pepper, and meat.
