Medium nose shows black cherry, earth tone, hint of game, potpourri, red cherry. Palate is juicy, raspberry, some spice, baking spice, white pepper, some grip with medium tannins, hint of blood iron, black cherry again. Bigger style, structure driven on the finish. Nice QPR.

Opened with subtle Rhone like nuances of darker fruit and iron at first, which transitioned to typical, higher toned, red fruit, floral pastille, candied cherry, hints of citrus, spice and Oregon terroir, after a couple hours.. Great QPR. Recommendable. Despite being under $20, I recommend decanting for a couple hours to enjoy more complexity and better texture. Well made.

Drank a glass in NYC at Lincoln Center, $15 per glass , clean, medium weight, good fruit and acid, nothing special but good, not sure that I would drink again.

Tart red fruit, dark cherry, oak, Burgish, licorice and cherry lozenge; ok.

Fresh, fruity...an easy everyday PN. Red forest fruits, some spice, hunts of wet pavement. A little astringent. At this price point, it's fine, although I can find others with more depth and complexity.

OK. Seemed a bit flat on opening, but brightened up some on day 2. There are better Oregon Pinot for the price.

Berry forward. A bit one dimensional. A bit biting after taste.

Nice nose and decent color, this is nice moderate Pinot. It does have a bit more tannin than optimum but overall it is balanced and nicely varietal and totally satisfying. Nice value.

Smooth tannins. Notes of bread. Well balanced. Drink this over next 6-8 months

Darker oregon fruit, low tannins, fairly soft, easy to enjoy.

One of the better in the under $20 Oregon Pinot category I've tasted of late, the 2014 Pike Road is an off shoot winery managed by the Elk Cove team. Replete with twiggy black tea notes, rose petals, cranberry compote, iron ore and dried blood, it's clean and linear on the palate, more red fruited than black, with bright acidity that dwindles to a slightly herbaceous, rustic finish of fresh bark dust, spice and mulch.
