Deep garnet. The nose is blackberry and barnyard with a whiff of alcohol. The palate is rustic, moderately full, and lightly tannic dark red and black fruit. The finish is medium and slightly drying. I think this wine carries a little brett, and is best with flavorful food.

Leaves, earth, herbs, and hints of fruit gone by. Tasted very similar to the other Friulian aged Merlot I had (name escaping me right now - both from Garagiste), but at 3x the price I don't see what this one delivered that the other one didn't/

This was part of the Garagiste random box selection. Perhaps the best wine I've had in a long time. The crazy part is the wine is still very, very young. We popped and poured with lasagne.
