No notes and this was a coravined bottle from 2 years ago. Still in a good condition though. On the leaner side of 2015 Rhône’s I’ve tried. Really likeable and I would not hesitate to buy again. A pristine bottle would keep well for another 5 years or so.

This review is for the bottling imported by Eurovin, purchased in the midwest How it compares to the bottles obtained through Garagiste is anyone’s guess. The initial Bretty impression cleared quickly to reveal a fruit forward blackberry with black licorice undertones. If there was any new oak used here, it was well hidden under the ample fruit. Served this at a wine tasting seminar. Somewhat disappointing, even given the very low price from Garagiste. Smells like a textbook Northern Rhone Syrah. But tastes overwhelmingly new world. Short finish. Not much going on with the two bottles that we opened. Really the least favorite wine of the event.

Opened, but not decanted, at a NYC restaurant for over 45 minutes before pouring. Solid, juicy, Syrah, that tastes a bit more CA than Crozes-Hermitage. A huge bargain for the Garagiste price. This has been in the glass for two hours. The colors are incredibly dark and penetrating, and the aromas come across the same way. Very deep and opulent, but still very much contained, showing black cassis, anise, black tar, a heavy dose of minerality, . Deep, inky purple color with garnet edges. Aromas of plum and blueberry fruit, bay leaf, paprika, violets and mesquite smoke- medium in intensity. Concentrated black fruits on the palate, with layered secondary depth, blue florals, sweet and savory dark spices, crushed stone. Pleasing weight and texture, medium acid, thick creamy tannins. Full flavors on the finish. Great early-drinking 2015 Northern Rhone.

The nose showed a mix of rich dark fruits, crushed violets, exotic spice and earth. On the palate I found a soft expression of ripe plum, wild berry and spice. Zesty acidity added balance through the saturating minerals and spice laden finish, which was ridiculously long.
