An amazing rose at peak. Amazingly deep flavors and scents of honey, apricot. Splendid

Serious Rosé (Crouch End Cellars) : This has really blossomed since I last had a bottle, and I feel vindicated having bored everybody half to death about the cuvee. It's gained some herbal and caramelised complexity, a butteriness and a touch of oxidative nuttiness. That glossy mandarin fruit is present and correct, a savoury chew and skinsy textural grip while remaining flowing and clear. Mega stuff.

Posh rosés - 2024 selection (Crouch End Cellars) : Fifth bottle of this, and one of the best; it's such a good wine. Ineffable nose that provides a warm olfactory cuddle. Quite a bit of fruit on the palate, but in an original register: unlike the plethora of red fruit found on tonight's earlier wines, I tasted banana and sweet orange here, although ultimately this wine isn't so much about its individual characteristics as the simple fact that it's unique …

So you thought you knew about Rosé? (Crouch End Cellars) : Sensational nose, this is glorious stuff. Sweet banana (those little tiny ones you get in the tropics), citrus and strawberry. Next level tasty, you could lose yourself in a bottle of this. Again, not a quaffer, but high interest wine that is simply beautiful. Impossible to pin down what this is reminiscent of, perhaps it just isn't! Easy to give the WOTN and most of my fellow tasters thought …

Really lovely: piquant acidity, some body from the skins, aromatically complex, good length. Three left and I'll be sad when they're gone.

Just amazeballs. As others note, there is a tomato aspect here that gives a savory enhancement to red cherry fruits. A bit of rhubarb and a lovely chewy quality on the finish. Even has some lanolin and white fruits on the side. A little creaminess. Perfectly integrated and blow away good for everyone.

Holy moly. This nose of rhubarb and cherry is absolutely mindblowing. Incredible brightness and fruitiness. On the palate it is massively juicy with great acidity. Tons of bitter cherry fruit of very attractive kind. Huge drinkability.

Lovely aperitif, though it seemed slightly dilute compared to previous bottles. Some tart mandarin orange and an attractive underlying oxidative character. Hope it's a weaker bottle rather than a general trend towards senescence.

The sophomore vintage and currently the most recent release of this label. The wine is made with late-harvested (10th of October) Xinomavro grapes from a single vineyard planted 26 years ago on a northeastern slope, macerated with the skins for 8-10 hours and fermented spontaneously with indigenous yeasts. Then the wine is aged for 4 years in 2nd use French demi-muids of 500 liters, followed by blending, bottling and aging for another 5 years in the winery's cellars before release. …

Interesting to try side by side with the regular cuvée (2013). Oak is quite apparent, but extremely tasteful and integrated. Many of the same characteristics as the young stainless aged version, acid driven, more savory herbs, but the fruit has melted into a more complex and honeyed profile - almost like if xinommavro had a baby with chenin blanc. It’s an intellectual rose that is pleasing to non-geeks and geeks alike.

Although Thymiopoulos has a "Rosé de Xinomavro" in their range, this 2013 is a completely different beast to their normal rosé aged in stainless steel, as this sophomore vintage is the most recent release. Fresh, ripe, and also slow roasted vine tomatoes with Italian herbs, damp freshly cut grass, celery, and red berry sorbet in wonderful balance on the nose. Brilliantly transferred to palette. I had a taste of this about a year ago and it is even better now

Pale amber in the glass. A challenging nose to decipher where the wine quite literally morphs in the glass - moving from one element to the next. There’s a feint fermented, almost medicinal quality, pyrazines in the form of tomato leaf, fruit from macerated strawberries and dried cranberries, and a slight herbaceousness. While more straightforward and less complex - by no means a critique - the palate offers up a beautiful burst of sweetness from ultra-ripe strawberries. A delicious, highly …

9 år på ståltank før release. Spesiell rose, oransj farge, kompleks floral lukt med jordbær, appelsinskall, syltetøy. Frisk og fin, sikkert beste rose jeg har smakt

Without the glorious impact of the first bottle I tried - no doubt partly due to glassware - but still a compact, perfectly-balanced herbal delight. Would complement almost any savoury food, or just drink it on its own. Superb.

Brilliant, glittering orange-crimson - no pink here! Just slightly oxidised, adding complexity, but the long ageing has actually brought the wine together as a seamless, delicious whole. Rhubarb and custard sweets, beeswax, dried roses, tomato stalk and blackcurrant leaf... bittersweet and palate-exploding. Long, mealy, mouthwatering finish. Why did I only buy a single bottle of this?!

Feels special. Beautiful copper colour in the glass, this has body, structure and elegance. The tomato character is prominent with some citrus (tangerine?), tangy berries. I reckon this could improve further with age. Bottled after nearly 10 years in steel and old oak, farmed from a single vineyard.

A truely unique rosé. From a single parcel at 500 m above ocean level. Nose of ripe strawberries, cream, rhubarb, orange zest and a hint of sage. Balanced, fresh and slightly structured, medium body. The most interesting rosé I’ve had to date (though this hardly has anything in common with the chuggable rosés that makes up 95% of that category)

Random wines tasted during service (Oinoscent) : Kept in oak for 12 months The wine shows a bright carrot/red color In the nose, the wine shows very fragrant profile, roses, cherry tomato, tomato jam In the palate, the wine shows dried red fruit, cherries, strawberries, tomato jam, medium body, medium to high acidity, shows tannins, ends with long finish. Beautiful and much different than 2007 upon release. Its more fragrant, lighter and more airy

Oransje uklar. Pen lett krydret duft, røde bær, rabarbra. God syre og saftighet, men en tanke høy fylde. God og relativt egenartet rosé, men ikke noe sensasjonelt. Syns heller ikke lagringspreg gir noe særlig
