Still drinking very well. Decanted an hour before first pour. Color was deep ruby, very clear. Nose of dark fruits, plum, blueberries but not over-the-top. Solid structure with tannins still intact.

Earlier CT notes to decant were right on point. Sadly, I read them after drinking half the bottle. Much better on Day 2. Seems like this coukd easily age another 5 years or so.

Really nice nose. Drank well with minimal decant. Fairly complex with a good finish. Drinking very well. At 35$ a very good qpr.

Coravined and consumed. This showed a bit tighter and perhaps a bit more tannic, given the age, than I'm accustomed to for this bottling. The second half of the bottle, opened two weeks later, did show more open. A decant may be in order

On first night this was showing mostly secondary flavors, with little in the way of fruit. Mostly leather, earth. But on night #2, this really sprang to life with continuing leather and earth, but now with some nice black cherry peeking through, adding a hint of sweetness. I gave it an 89 on the first night, but 91 on the second.

The wine looks purple colored. The legs are slow. There is light sediment in the bottle. It smells like black currant (cassis), blueberry, cherry, coffee and oak. It tastes like blackberry, black currant (cassis), cranberry, cherry, stoniness and light toast. The body is medium/full. The wine has round texture. The wine finishes long. The wine has low acidity. Had with pasta at Nonno Tata. Great pairing

Big and smooth Napa Cab. Black and red fruit, with a touch of licorice. Well integrated, complex, and satisfying, with a nice long finish. Yum. Even better on day 2. Smoother, with hints of tobacco and loads of dark chocolate coming through with the fruit. It was teetering on the edge of 92 yesterday, but solidly there today.

Big nose of cassis with lots of spice and a touch of licorice. Big, juicy, ripe and rich with great depth. Big, firm structure with a slightly grainy texture and a long, long finish. Big and bold, and close to being overdone, but it works for me. Much more Napa-like (vs. bordeaux-like) than prior bottles.

I decided this cold and rainy night needed a big, powerful wine - and that is exactly what I got. Great nose of ripe cassis along with some licorice, leather and spice. Aromas are more like a bordeaux than a pure cab - especially the leather component and the complexity. Really big, bold and rich on the palate with terrific intensity and depth. A big, firm structure and a full bodied, slightly chewy texture. Long, fruity finish.

Huge nose of rich, ripe cassis along with licorice/tar, earth and spice - with a big whiff of alcohol. You can immediately sense the power that awaits in the glass. Sure enough, this is Napa cabernet the way it was really meant to be. Massive, very juicy, dark-red and black fruits with deep flavors, a powerful structure and a lingering, fruity finish. Notes of dark cherry and leather emerge on the palate. Noticeable tannins and acidity provide a great framework …
