Dunham & Froese MDC

I'll stand by my previous comments on this one. It's opened up quite a bit, although running it through a Venturi this time certainly helped. Despite it being mostly Cab Sauv, it tasted a lot more like a nice peppery Syrah crossed with a sweet, fruity Zinfandel. Aromas of blueberry, licorice, cinnamon and nutmeg. Tastes of sweet cherry, cola, black pepper and licorice. Very slight vegetal taste that quickly disappeared. Tannins were a touch harsh at first, but opened up nicely after an hour. Drank even better the next day. Consistently long finish. This is a lovely organic wine that certainly shows its cabernet sauvignon and syrah roots, while also containing a rare showing from sweet British Columbian zinfandel.
