While the nose offers complex aromas, this vintage falls short of expectations. The palate is somewhat flat and lack of complexity, though the finish is good.

Nutty and complex. Subdued bubbles. This remains a favorite champagne for special occasions. Did not disappoint on NYE.

My second bottle in the last month, and both showed identical. I think I expected a bit more verve here (being 2002, late disgorged, Jacquesson), and while I enjoyed both, I feel like this was probably at peak a few years ago. 57 Pinot/43 chard. Almost 15yrs on lees. Deep gold, channeling some amber, in the glass. Low effervescence. If you love mature champagne, this is up your alley…aromatics of truffle honeycomb, espresso, caramel apple. Oxidized, but not overly so. …

Disgorged in 2017! Also a low effervescence bottle. My first try with this house. This is 57% pinot noir and it shows with the distinct soil and umami-caraway seeds notes on the wine, almost like a Blanc de Noirs. It is quite dry, but not shrill. Lovely balance and length, just not my preferred style. 91 pts.

Much more exotic bottle versus the last one. Golden yellow, very evolved nose of spice cake, honeysuckle, tea. Dry champagne at its best, very refined on the palate, long finish with great vivacity mid palate.

43% Chardonnay and 57% Pinot Noir with about 15 years on the lees disgorged in December 2017 with 1.5 grams/liter dosage. Nice golden color. Windfall fruits and bruised apple very dominantly on the nose with some caramel, coffee and pineapple as well but super oxidized. Palate followed with a nice lemon and citrus acidity, windfall fruits, apple, toffee/caramel, oak and quite the oxidized note again but on the palate it was a lot more fresh though still mature. Great structure …

Can’t believe how incredible this champagne is. What a treat. Golden yellow color, very fine bubbles, nose of acacia, pineapples, citrus fruits, orchard fruits, pain de mie, honeysuckle. Very fresh and rich entry on the palate, great depth and complexity, paired perfectly with turbot. Long buttery finish. One more bottle left.

Richard Juhlin Top 100 Day 1 @ Gustav Zürich (Restaurant Gustav Zürich) : Not blind boring and less charmig you would expect from the producer and vintage. The wine feels academically well made as Peter said but not touchung his heart. I guess he is not wrong.Missing length and depth. 91

Still too young. Needs some time to open up. Potential is certainly here
