Fantastic wine. No brett. Incredible aromatics. Cherry, framboise fruit, deep and rich, but still light on its feet.

Somehow the nose doesn’t resonate with a typical Chambolle characteristics and nose its still closed. Medium+ finish. Most likely bottle variation.

Nice red raspberry & cherry - very fresh, almost a fruity profile. Some red florals & bit of spice. Medium weight, silky & supple, with decent acid...though I might have expected more of a spine & tannic structure at this point. Nice length. Very tasty & enjoyable, if not one to deeply contemplate. I have one more and will drink it within the next 5 years. Double decanted, popped 90 mins later, drank over the next few hours.

Small glass at auction. Bright red cherry start-to-finish, lithe and elegant. very good length.

A classic expression of Chambolle Musigny. Rich plum, maraschino cherry and anise on the nose. Compelling meaty notes join the clove and mace and prune jam on the palate. Satisfying Chamb-Musigny sweetness with loads of very silky tannins. Very good but not great length. Nevertheless a terrific example of well crafted typicity for the appellation. Surprisingly approachable now but built to last I think. A true burgundy lover’s burgundy.

Wonderfully floral, fruity, fragrant, expressive nose. Elegant, fresh palate. Textbook Chambolle, a Pinot lover's Pinot. 94-95
