Nose is plum, dark cherry, and boysenberry, along with some vanilla and baking spice. Flavors are very similar with the addition of some leather. This wine is fairly tannic, but they are not overpowering. Perfect with Sicilian meatballs.

Wine was closer to a port. Believe it was over the hill. Color was dark ruby. Tasted like an old vine zinfandel that was turning into a port. The people at the Xmas party I took it to didn't seem to notice.

Just as the 2004 vintage this red wine from Apulia is very sweet with silky tannins, acidic red fruits, mulberry, vanilla, coca cola. I did not think this was overly oaked, but found it rather integrated now. A bit too sweet in the end but I have to admit it is very tasty and a good value. But why does this wine need a >1kg wine bottle as packaging??? It is heavier than most Magnum bottles. Drink now. - 88 …

Very nice wine paired along with a stew on a nice cold night. Not as tannic as expected lots of great fruit with a hint of spice on the finish.

Either this bottle had evolved (oxidized?) into a different beast, or I was nuts before. Overly sweet, with a distracting tangy note that dominates everything. Tastes like fruit punch, and even has a weird malty smack of a wine cooler. Yuck.
