On the nose smoky and slightly buttery wood, yellow apple and tea-like lemon with a Champagne-like apricot+yeast note. Smells more rich than fresh, but not in a bad way. Indeed it shows considerable concentration on the palate and quite ripe fruit as well. Very expressive and powerful, far from what one would expect from the variety.
