Beautiful, round, full, deep cabernet. Hard to beat with a steak. I loved it. Wish I had more. Enjoy!!

Had a small glass first day, nice, but much better on day 2. Just used cork for one day. Smooth, full bodied.

Another very good bottle of this, though this one seemed to lack a little energy and was slightly "flat" compared to a couple of recent bottles. Still, a pure pleasure to drink with grilled pork ribs, chicken, and bratwurst. Very well made new world Cabernet without being too oaky and more on the restrained side of Cabs we see these days. Sadly, my last bottle.

Another outstanding bottle of this at peak. Went so well with grilled tri-tip, grilled veggies, and roasted potatoes! My taste buds were so happy :)

The best of the four bottles that I have opened thus far. Based on my experience with the other three bottles, this is definitely in its prime drinking window, with 2 others just past and on their way down, and 1 that was more advanced with the fruit already starting to dry out. This bottle had more pronounced aromatics and fuller, denser fruit. If you like mature, medium-weight Cab with a bit of that menthol, minty character, then this is …

A bit more advanced than my previous 2 bottles. Minty, mature, medium-bodied but the structure is outlasting the fruit on this one as a frame of oak tannin is on display here. Still very good but I’m not going to wait more than a year on my remaining bottles.

Drinking beautifully. Not a big bruiser Cabernet, but not wimpy either. Middle of the road, which is right in my wheelhouse.

Great find for $25 and 11 years of age. Drinking very nicely right now. Good depth and richness with fine, mostly resolved tannins and good balance. Just at the beginning of showing tertiary characteristics. A hint of that minty Australia Cab character. Wonderful.

This was a pretty impressive effort. Big wine with well integrated tannins, still seems pretty young. For $25 this is an excellent April. I'm a fan.

Pretty restained aussie cab for this winery. Restrained nose, not as explosive compared to some of their other wines, Nice blk fruit, with coffee, earth and some slight olive and mild green bell pepper, med+ finish, will see how this develops over the next 2-3 yrs.

Opened the night before and I thought the wine was too closed and tight to be of any use that night; so popped the cork back into it and let it sit for the next night. By the next night, the wine was still pretty tight, but we decided what the hell... The wine is very dark, youthful, and severe in appearance. Inky black with a dark garnet edge. Aromas of eucalyptus, mint, sage, black berry, and earth are dominant. …

Friday Night Double Blind Tasting $40+ (Bin 75) : Very dark core, cloudy, dark dull garnet rim; older, dark fruit, herbs, tar, blackberry, big, sweet wood, chocolate; nice structure, softened but still prominent tannin, blackcurrant, deep, menthol; fairly restrained for Aussie, not bad.

Much more firm and structured than the the 2006. Tannins are evident, dark fruit on the palate is ripe, restrained, and chewy.
