PnP. This wine is at the far end of its drinking window. Still red, not brown, with muted tannins. Very enjoyable with a great friend. Drink now don't wait.

Sadly this was totally undrinkable. Spoiled and thus poured down the drain.

Very easy to drink, though a little past its prime. Opened one about 2 years ago and it was a little better. Classic California cab. Great fruit, softer tannins (due to age) and pretty good out of the bottle, though a little air helped it along. Cork was a little brittle and took some careful work. Time to enjoy them if you have them. They won't get any better.

This is not improving with age. The jammy Raspberry and cassis flavor is showing some prune notes with time. It was just okay.

It was tough to measure this cab subsequent to enjoying our 2010 Isosceles with dinner, but this Cab proved to be an excellent choice for our post-dinner festivities and desserts. Decanting was slightly longer than normal, at @ 45-mnutes, so that may explain the surprisingly smooth, yet rich cab taste. The tasting notes referred to more of a bold spice than we experienced. This is likely one of the better cabs we have enjoyed from Justin.

The window is closing on this bargain wine. The fruit has faded and the finish is truncated but still noteworthy considering the price.

I purchased several of these at release and held a couple of bottles knowing it would fade over time. Tom my surprise this wine is still drinking well. The blueberry notes are a bit muted but overall this has been a fantastic buy at $21 a bottle.

Well, my previous review it seemed the wine was past its prime but this bottle made up for the previous one, drank very well, nice vanilla, light cherry and spice on the nose. Good finish, the previous bottle was not near this one, perhaps a bit corked. So one more left, still advise drinking now as it will not get any better.

Average cab, typical notes of cherry, vanilla on the nose. Medium body, fruit forward and short finish. I think as noted with others this is on the decline so will drink up my other 2 bottles now and hope they are better than this one.

Soft entry, strong mid, fades on finish. Good with beef or by itself. Still tasting well at the end of its drinking window.

Super smooth. If you have any of the 2010, drink it up now. 6 bottle years sees this peaked, if not slightly on the decline. Big, but balanced plum/stewed fruit, slight green in the backbone, little oak. All in all, a balanced effort that paired perfectly with a flat iron with a demiglaze.

Aged wonderfully currently. Intense aroma yet with a very smooth velvety feel in the mouth. Paired perfectly with a finely grilled steak.

Wines At Our Table; Week of March 8, 2015; 3/2/2015-3/9/2015 : Opaque very dark ruby color, and medium-bodied this wine offers baked black and red fruit, dark chocolate, spice and subtle cedar wood aromas. On the palate it shows a supple texture with chalky well integrated tannins and blackberry, black cherry, vanilla, dark chocolate and a kiss of cassis flavors. 13.9% alcohol. Spends 18 months in 225-liter American oak barrels.

Agree with prior notes. Subdued tannins and acidity, ripe black fruit, uncomplicated and very drinkable for a Tuesday night. It's not an ageable wine but will last a few more years.

Decided to pop the cork on this because a recent mailing from Justin said the '08 was "showing bouquet or aged quality." First taste, marginal. An hour after decant, better. 90 minutes later, very good but I thought I was drinking a nice Zinfandel. Dark color with nice fig flavors along with blackberry and plum on a lengthy finish.

Still too early to drink this one. A bit tannic and non-descript. Flavors are muted even after an hour + decanting. Hope this one opens up in a couple years.

Surprisingly, we've grown to enjoy this wine more than in 2010-2011. Didn't anticipate it would get any better, and came across some in the cellar. A very pretty old world profile now. Kind of wish I had more.

Decanted. Initial nose had a tiny funk... but the flavor was nice and opened up more over time. A bit earthy and sour cherry flavors.. smoothed into a nice soft finish. Nice, but not outstanding.

Popped and poured. This really needs to breathe for an hour or so to blow off the oakey notes. Once it is does, it is luscious and characteristically Paso. Cedar, red currant, blackberry. Very nice, and at $21 a good QPR.

Extracted red and blacks, pencil lead,as well as tons of oak. Black on the palate, too acidic. Long finish that is rather unpleasant. So different from last note, I'm thinking this could be an off bottle.

Always consistent. Good on opening but decanting for an hour is a good plan. Justin is one of my favorite vineyards for consistent wines at the various price points. Orphan was always great at a lower cost. I have opened about 4 bottles of this cab and it has been nice each time.
