Tenuta Garetto Grignolino d'Asti 'l Giget

Dinner with Carlo Cassani and Alicia Surprisingly dark, blueish red color; they probably used enzymes to aid color extraction. Not pale like the Grignolinos of old.... On palate robust with good tannin and acidity. hearty wine; went well with the mixed antipasti.
