Lovely wine. Peppery taste

Super classic aged saint Emilion. Absolutely smooth with balanced fruit and tannin, with a subtle tertiary set of savory. Even better on night 3. This was worth the wait!

Nasty funk on the nose initially with note of petrol and crude oil. Decanted, the funk blew off in about 30 minutes, and it really opened up. Possibly my best bottle, after the funk was gone.

Good QPR. Better on second day-at first thin, dry, but next day lusher, soft in the mouth. Pleasant fern undertone

Flawed bottle. Very disappointing.

Very similar to the prior bottle, no lush fruit here, dry, earthy with tobacco and light plum and cherry fruit. Medium length on the finish.

Peefect time to enjoy this lush, deep merlot (5% Cabernet Franc). Leathery, with a hint of strawberry and a classic anise finish. Buy off- brand Bordeaux wines early and wait 7 years.

Lighter than expected, slightly weedy, but with some nice earthy plum fruit. Some tobacco and leather notes as well, showing age already. This was shown up by a 2014 Ch Le Pey Medoc.

Such a pleasure to drink Bordeau at last!

Cassis, leather, black berry, and a hint of menthol on the nose. High tannins with dark berries on the palate. Good finish.

On the nose bright Blackberry, cedar box, vanilla, pencil lead, manor. Elegant and classic Bordeaux style, albeit not too strong. Good dark fruits on the palate, almost sweetish. Some oak, earth, vegetal elements, good acidity and some tannins. Best part is in the mid-palate, where there`s a delicious, bursting fruit. In the finish appears also a hint of Cherry-cola. Great from the pop 'n pour. On the ripe side, but not spoofed at all with no overt oak that I could detect. Seemed pure and balanced with really nice classic right-bank aromas and flavors. Really enjoyed this.
