Cloud Break, Petite Sirah, California

Drinkable red wine. Transparent red-purple in the glass (redder than might be expected); modest nose, with red fruit and a touch of old world funk; clean and balanced reddish fruit with a touch of chocolate; modest but noticeable tannins, and a decent dry finish. No petite sirah character at all however - some others near this price point are very true to character.

Competently made - but barely discernable as PS. Rather light in color, and non-descript mild fruit on the palate. Bought in a search for some new PS to drink, and this one was cut from the team.

This was rather ordinary and plain. Light in flavor and color for a petite sirah. For the price it was an okay weekday slurp, buy I probably wouldn't but it again.
