21 years and it’s definitely developed some unique tertiary notes and has a lot of zing and depth.

Okay, so the second one was opened more like two years later instead of five. How can I keep my hands off of this one? I honestly think this is the perfect time to drink this wine. So complex, integrated, the experience was pretty much as per the previous tasting note. Just a really nice mature Napa Rutherford Cabernet that has found its niche. I would probably give it another point so this is a 93 to 94 and the …

Fragrance of dust and black fruit. Tannins well resolved and integrated with the blackberry and slight blueberry fruit. Paired well with rack of lamb and a sweet potato. Good value wine from our anniversary year.

I thought that I was about 5 years too late opening the first of 2....turns out that the second one will probably not be opened up for another five years. This wine was a touch flat opening up, but was displaying a profile of dark chocolate from the start and a flatter acidity towards the finish. As this one sat over the course of an hour, it changed QUITE a bit. Perfectly aged blackberry, some dark chocolate dominated the front. …

Stored at 55 F degrees since purchase. Medium bodied and at peak or a little past. Soft tannins w/Black cherry, cassis, lipstick notes lead to a moderately rich midpalate of the same w/a little bit of blackberry. Medium finish. Very drinkable. 1 hr. later: although it doesn't improve much in the glass the nose really blossomed w/cedar and cassis.

Opened in the evening and the nose was shut down so we corked and out in the fridge overnight. The next evening it was beautiful with textbook Rutherford dust and loads of fruit. This has at least 5 years left and I would not be surprised if it made it to 20 in fine form.

Serious black currant aromas with a hint of cherries. Dense, dark purple color, but reaching it's drinking apex. Still not bad for an eleven year old cabernet.

I thought this might be past prime. Pleasantly surprised. Soft, nice long finish. Wonderful accompaniment to Greek lamb chops, grilled eggplant and middle eastern salad, bauget with goat cheese.

At a perfect drinking plateau, mellow and layered, with nice black and blue fruit tones, gentle spiciness and a pleasing earthiness mark this a several steps above most cabs at this price point ($20). A delightful drink that went as well with lamb chops as with seared tuna salad.

Quite nice, while I admit it is a touch over on the oak I don't mind this. Fruit came through and went well with food. Solid cab for the money.

Decanted for about an hour and enjoyed with grilled beef tenderloin. Nice deep purple in the glass with aromas of cherry, a little blueberry and a hint of damp earth on the nose. Tannins are well integrated which provides a smooth, yet slightly abbreviated finish. I believe that this wine is peaking now and I will plan to drink my remaining bottle within the next 6-9 months.

This wine surprised me in a fantastic way..........great body, tasty fruit, dark and rich. This paired wonderfully with lamb. Drinking well now (about a 30 minute decant) but I believe it could last another year or two.

Best: Deep dark, dense purple color; full bodied; fruit forward, yet controlled; supportive tannins; decent value at $ Worst: silicone caulk nose; almost non existent acidy; linear, not complex; abrupt finish, expect for the heat.

Turkey day at the farm!!! Smoke earth tobacco with hints of blackberry. Higher alcohol notes clear alluvial soil. Opened up a bit with a decant and Venturi.

Flipping delicious! Paired with a ribeye last night and it was divine! Very pure cherry juice on the attack, like a spiced fig cake on the midpalate, transitioning to a spicy vanilla-oaky pure black cherry fruit finish. Big fruit bomb with loads of oak, but oh so delicious.

Really interesting and complex. Nose has great depth and airs out into a fig newton sort of bouquet, but not in a bad way. Nice complex attack with great midpalate and tannin integration. Totally blew away the Rancho del Oso that was tasting side by side.
