This was wonderful. Made a roast chicken and this was perfect with it. It had some beautiful notes up front but the length was the winner. Had the fruit and tannins in perfect balance. I could drink this for days

WA Tasting trip Day 2: Cayuse, Gramercy, Spring Valley, More Cayuse?? and Jim German; 4/9/2011-4/12/2011 (Walla Walla, WA) : Nose of red fruit, spice, blackberry. Palate of red raspberry, white pepper, oak, little heat and tannin. Good acidity. 88-89

Pacific Northwest Tasting Trip (Red Mountain/Walla Walla Day 1) : Nose of red fruit and cinnamon. Palate of strawberry, red raspberry, cinnamon, and pastry. It was a a little disappointing on the mid palate, but the finish was nice and clean.

Fruity, some tannins that make you think it can age for a few years, but not intrusive, drinking well right now. Pleasant herbs on the nose. Tastes of chocolate, vanilla, and dark berries.

Spring Release 2010. Best merlot of the day, perfectly balanced. Drinking really nice now. Very focused merlot flavor, oak and tannins only support it and never obstruct the wine. A fine treat.
