Beautiful light crimson. Quite an attractive floral nose: sour cherry and strawberry notes. Unfortunately the taste doesn’t live up to that initial promise. I can only imagine this was a flawed bottle, although it came from the reputable Solly Kramer’s in Johannesburg, and is the latest vintage. It’s basically sour raspberry vinegar. Utterly undrinkable, and I'm afraid it went down the sink.

Plump, generous, brown sugar and raspberry ripple - quite obvious alcohol at this stage - may well tone down. Like, very much, the Modigliani-style label.
