The bouquet is of mature fruit and cedar. The color is just a little tile on edge with the core showing a slightly warmer but still nicely deep red. The wine on the palate tasted very much integrated and mature but not at all over. Complex with some spice and cedar earth. It is at peak now. I am surprised this has held so nicely las I had some concerned about it a few years ago.

I bought this wine based on some excellent tasting notes. It had some brawn in its youth but but I think it is drinking at or may be a year or two pass the peak. The color is tile around the edge. It has nice mature taste but no oxidation at all. It still has a lot of body and depth of color. The flavor is earth and a bit of tar. It is a pleasant mature minor Bordeaux. The …

Weekly tasting group #004; Red Bordeaux Varietals (@ VD) : A blend of 30% CF, 30% CS, 30% Merlot and 30% Malbec. The bouquet is still a bit locked, but there are some cedar, graphite, menthol and earthy impressions. On the palate a lot of cassis, some paprika, firm acidity and bitterness. Medium bodied. Very ok wine which will improve with a few more years of ageing.

needs about 40 mins of air. Some fruit, thin, not too much depth. Drinkable, but would not recommend or buy again.

Aerator decant and pour. Color dark garnet, clear, medium body. Pleasant nose with mildly sweet impression of cassis, earth, toffee note, vanilla and oak. Bouquet transferred well to palate with cassis and currant interplay with lots of minerals and earth. Medium acid, firm but forgiving tannins. Toffee emerges in midpalate and trails into the finish. Day 2 brought similar notes of primarily cassis, earth and toffee. Overall a pleasant Bordeaux with some modern styling to make it more approachable. Good …
