mature Bordeaux wine evening (at Shaul Hod's) : Appearance: Brick brown with amber and orange highlights. Aromas: A complex bouquet featuring dried fruits such as walnuts, almonds, figs, and peaches, complemented by notes of anise, curry, burnt caramel, and a subtle hint of iodine. Palate: Rich and voluminous on the palate, showcasing flavors of hazelnuts and prunes. The wine's acidity and youthful spice balance its sweetness and alcohol, leading to a structured mouthfeel and a sweet, bitter, and persistent finish.

Clear, brick with significant rim browning. Caramel, oak, honey. Low acids, low tannins, sweet. Date. Medium balanced finish. Tasting at Linda Blair.

-- tasted a single pour non-blind at winery tasting room over approx. 5 minutes -- -- this bottle was opened the day before we tasted it -- Red-orange color of medium-light intensity. Nose was less intense than the Fine Tawny (8 yr), and was pretty inexpressive.
