Charleston Food & Wine Festival; 3/7/2019-3/10/2019 (Charleston, SC (various locations)) : As part of a tasting at the Graham Beck booth at Charleston food and wine festival. interesting because most producers were going with the straight pour approach this created quite a line here. Went through line-up of the more standard/reasonably priced ones and then a blanc de blanc and a vintage rose. Last bottle (the vintage rose). This was not bad. Nice complexity and pleasant as a sparkler. Can tell its been aged a bit, but still nice freshness in the fruit & acidity.

Copper color for this rose. Really smells and drinks like a Champagne. Dry and poised. Pretty good balance between the leesy complexity and fruit. 90-91

pretty fragrance of berries. medium body, good concentration. tannin is tamed by a vigorous decant

Plums and currants on a structured frame with fresh acid. Earthy, peppery and, ironically, game notes add complexity. Tasty stuff.

Decanted. Starts juicy, finishes a bit tannic. No bitterness. Nice fruit. Medium-bodied. Enjoyable.

Russk. Left over from LHF's 40th. Day1. Smells So. African. Day 2. Surprisingly good. Accessible now . Good acidity, makes you want to drink more. Seems like a very good value.
