Giant fruit, jammy Syrah-Grenache. Tons of red and blue fruit throughout and a very smooth transition from middle to finish. It's what it should be. This would be a fantastic high end glass pour, and probably needs food to be amazing. I am not totally certain that I love it, but can't fault it for bringing it's true self to the show!

Drinking as well as you could expect it to. Plenty of life left. Fruit and alcohol, tannins beat out the acid, but what else do you expect from most Aussie grenache/shiraz blends. Well balanced for what it is. Went well with home cooked Indian coconut curry.

Not usually my style but sometimes one is just in the mood for a Barossa Shiraz. On the more elegant style (for Barossa) but the alcohol does poke out a bit

Terroir-istes International - Australia-GSM (Rodwell House) : Shiraz 55%; Grenache 45%; deep purple colour, the nose shows super ripe black and red fruit that veers to jam. Flecks of toast and vanilla also show. Medium-bodied, the entry is rich in texture, fairly big and bold with notes of chocolate, liquorice, spices and a lifted perfume throughout. There was quite a hefty extract with grippy tannins and a warm geneorus alcohol and the finish felt a little soupy. Fairly long and …

Discovering Wine : A heavy-bodied wine with a complex nose of vanilla, blueberry & butterscotch. Taste of black raspberry and other black fruit. Finish has a pepper (maybe cumin) with some length to it. A very nice wine overall and is ready to drink now, but would likely cellar for a good number of years.

This wine is very drinkable now. A bright garnet colour. Great aromas of raspberry, vanilla and malted blackberry. Went well with cheese, olives and crackers. Not good with grapes. Not a heavy concentrated wine but very multi-dimensional.

Decant one hour before ...splashed into cold decanter. Started tasting at 65 dg. The nose long aromas of black berry-black raspberry. Mid palate taste the berry, finish added spice box. Good now and may improve for 1 or 2 years.

Decanted for 2.5 hours and then cooled for 2 hours - served at good temperature. Nose was nice upon opening, but didn't really seem to improve. There was nothing unpleasant about this wine but it was underwhelming. It was a nice background wine, but never warranted a lot of discussion. Flavor never exploded. I'm not sure I'd rush to buy this again.
