Deep dark purple color. Nose had dark berry and pepper. A traditional Aussie Shiraz, but the short finish holds it back from being outstanding

Very nice. Not as dry as some of the other Shiraz I have enjoyed. Light and subtle on the front end, and has a nice flavorful finish. Good for the money.

This was our last, and best, bottle of this wine. The fruit forward and very bright in the mouth. Picked up great pepper, spice and dark cherry. Agree with others on the lack of real complexity, but for $10, felt it was an enjoyable easy drinker.

Nice nose. Very unbalanced flavor. Maybe I've had too many Frenchies lateley, but this one just tasted very young and very out of whack. Twigs and unripe summer fruit. Not awful, but not something I'd like to do again.

Walker's Newport Tasting (The Spiced Pear) : Ok at first. Decent fruit. Ripe, a little over the top. Pass.

Ruby in the glass. Inviting raspberry/earth nose, although not terribly intense. Bountiful flavors of raspberry and plum over oaky tobacco and earth. Dry, light (surprisingly!), moderate acidity, with decent balance. Long finish. An unusual Aussie shiraz; not over-the-top, not uber-heavy, more subtle.

$50 at emeril's delmonico in vegas. Slightly better with air but remained a thin hard disjoint Shiraz. And at 5 times mark up too.

Dark purple in the glass. A definititve blueberry jumped out of the glass and smacked me in the nose saying, "Hey boy, smell that"? And I did. Along with some wet chalk, pepper and some damp rock. The palate was a dark fruity-blueberry-sweet mixture with pepper and woody taste in the background. Very good, but the finish was lacking. Not a bad deal for $10 by any stretch of the imagination but a bit flabby on the back end. Don't …

Color: leathery reddish purple; aroma: minimal -- a hint of some cedar and blackberry; taste: thinnish body, some fruit, and a short finish with a little pepper and mild-medium tannins. Overall: an undistinguished, but not-bad wine whose taste is on par with its low price ($7.30/bottle on sale); adequate for casual patio gatherings or for mixing into sangria.

Pretty standard, cheap, mass produced, australian shiraz. It gets a little better after decanting for a while and certainly improves with food, but this is not a bottle I'd give as a present or bring to a tasting.

Opened and poured, decent nose and moth feel - very fruit forward but not overly jammy. A little spice as well. Will drink over 2-3 days.

This is adecent QPR. Started out a little blah but came on better over the 24 hrs I drank this wine and for $8 it is worth it. nothing to write home about, but good everyday pizza wine.

Tastier than the last bottle for sure. Deep dark purple color in the glass. Nose of dark berry, slate and just a sprinkle of pepper. Has a bit of a traditional Aussie Shiraz pop to it, but the short finish holds it back from being outstanding. Great QPR wine!

Medium to deep ruby. This did a changing-act as it warmed in the glass. Near cellar temperature it showed mostly aromas of charcoal smoke and tart spices. Once it warmed to room temp. it got positively funky, with aromas of gasoline, black cherry and heat. Good acidity on the palate but a relatively short finish. Not what I'd consider fruit-forward, but interesting at any rate.

At this price this wine is a great QPR. We decanted it and it opened up very well. My wife's first comment was "fruit bomb" when she tasted this, which she loved. It had lots of dark fruit and a touch of pepper as well. Although this wine was extremely fruit driven it maintained pretty solid balance on the alcohol and acidity. I would consider making this an every day wine at our house.

This didn't have the same "punch" previous bottles exhibited. Certainly it was an adequate drinking wine but didn't have the Shiraz spirit of previous bottles or what might be expected from a good Shiraz.

Great fruit forward shiraz, berries with pepper and spice. Smooth, not a great deal of complexity; a little hot. But I liked this one better than some other shiraz that cost considerably more. A great QPR.

My wife really liked this wine. It had a nose of strawberry and bosenberry. There was no heat right after popping or the next day. Slight hints of pepper and spice continued through to the next day. Good QPR for an easy drinker without too much complexity.

Little nose but opened up with dark fruit and berry flavor with the faintest chocolate and pepper underlying trace. Dark garnet color and a bit rough around the edges. Overall a good QPR but I prefer the 2004 vintage. Nothing to be ashamed of here.

The color is a deep cherry red. There is very little in the way of a nose. Maybe a hint of a twig. The taste is mostly of coffee grounds and a touch of burnt cherry. The wine has a nice mouthfeel, and has a nice, smooth finish, with only a slight bitter aftertaste. All in all, not a bad everyday dinner wine for workday meals.
