Fresh cherry nose turns to rhubarb on the palate. Very tart/acidic with bright fruit. Definitely new world... but not 'heavy'. Nice by itself, even better with Sockeye salmon.

Drank this over two evenings. A few years of age has helped this wine out. Much of the fruit remains, but the secondary, deeper flavors are also showing nicely now. No noticeable oak present, tannins are nonexistent and it does have crisp acidity making it a food friendly combo. Was also tasty on the 2nd evening. A nice wine for $14 and well worth the 2 years of cellar time.
