Domaine Thunevin-Calvet Côtes du Roussillon Villages L'Amourette

Love this wine and have had many bottles over the last 2 years. Outstanding QPR.

Really good - especially for $15. Wish I would have bought a few more.

Baby Bandol. Fantastic QPR

deep ruby colour. fairly expressive aromas and flavours of black fruits with vanilla, baking spice and a bit of meaty funk. in mouth it is dry, with textured tannins and balancing acidity for the juicy, quasi full-bodied fruit flavours that have moderate definition but better integration with the accents. moderate length with noticeable heat. very good, straightforward wine that drinks very well now. 15% AbV; blend of 60% Mourvèdre/ 40% Grenache; matured in concrete vessels.

Color: Ruby with long legs. On the nose: lots of dark fruits (blackberries) and red fruits (hint is raspberries). On the palate: It’s a tad reserved/muted on fruits at first but eventually released. Got dark fruits with a hint of spice, vanilla and earth. Balanced finish. Very solid
