Quite earthy and floral. Smells woodsy with mushroom aromas

Gordon's Festa d'Italia (Artists for Humanity Center - Boston MA) : Walk around tasting. Red and black cherry throughout with some modern and classic elements here. 50% Sangiovese with Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Charming now, but slightly dirty (bretty?) in a way that makes me think it best to drink younger.

Visit to Il Palazzone in Montalcino (Montalcino, Italy) : The cellar we tasted in was dark but this wine still looked extremely dark regardless. Big lush nose, very attractive. Flavors of cherry and redwood shavings. Very angular and gritty tannins showing its youth. Drying finish. The petite verdot shows off in this wine which means the more time the greater the reward. Defintely a wine to pair with your wild tuscan boar.

Deeply flavorful, with good concentration, and even better delineation of fruits that are at the peak of phenolic ripeness. An explosion of flavors and and aromas just now, but that doesn't mean it's quite ready yet. Let these rest a few years and then get ready to rejoice; medium+ body, layered finish, bold lines - just cracking good, and will no doubt age quite well. Thru 2035 highly recommended https://www.ItalianWine.blog
